Chairmen, First of all, let me congratulate you on your recent election as chair of your respective Committee in the European Parliament. This letter is to inform you about my visit to Morocco. My objectives were to: - initiate constructive working relations with the new government and to obtain information about its programme; - obtain the views of the new government about its priorities in relations with the EU and to agree on the next steps. My visit took place on the same day as the government presented its programme to the Parliament.
