Motegi is a unique place because it is both a family outing destination and a sanctuary for enthusiasts, who turn out in large numbers from Thursday onwards." Michelin's two-wheel competition manager. "The layout of the track is very varied and demanding, which means that both tires are put under a lot of strain. At the front, there is a lot of heavy braking, which puts a lot of stress on the tire. To better respond to these constraints, we have readjusted our range: the old Hard becomes Medium, the Medium becomes Soft, and we are introducing a Hard tire with a reinforced carcass, ensuring stability in the most critical phases of deceleration. At the rear, we have decided to continue with the two compounds used in 2025, which performed very well, both the Soft for the Tissot Sprint and the Medium for the Grand Prix.
