“The Sachsenring is undoubtedly one of the most demanding circuits of the season in terms of tires. Apart from the fact that riders complete a counter-clockwise lap, it is above all the layout of the track that poses a real challenge. Between turns 4 and 10, the motorbikes tackle a series of left-hand bends exclusively. The right-hand side of the tire therefore has time to cool down before approaching Turn 11, which is a long, downhill straight that places sudden stress on the tire. It is a very tricky section, where only tires specifically developed for this type of stress can deliver the expected level of performance. “Thanks to the experience we’ve gained on this circuit, we’ve selected a tire package that’s perfectly suited to the track. It’s in situations like this that riders need confidence the most, and we’ll be there to provide them with the right tire at the right time.”
