Sunderland Allotments, off Church Lane, has been subjected to flooding over the years due to its location sandwiched between the River Gade and Grand Union Canal. However, the situation has reached breaking point after recent flooding caused devastation worse than in previous years, leading to villagers calling on the Environment Agency to take action.
