PINNERNEWS BRINGING YOU NEWS, VIEWS AND OPINIONS EVERY MONTH MARCH 2026 ISSUE 142 ‘VIOLENT’ GUNMAN JAILED GANG MEMBER SENTENCED FOR 28 YEARS A gang member from Pinner received a 28-year jail term at Reading Crown Court last month, following a 2024 shooting on the A41 in Watford. On July 25, 2024, at around 3.30pm, a disturbance occurred in a park in Meriden Way. Following violent disorder, at 5.20pm the same day, a man on an e-bike, travelling southbound on the A41, became involved in an altercation with occupants of a black BMW. During the confrontation, a shot was fired at the e-bike rider. He suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. Thankfully, he has since made a full recovery. The person driving the BMW, Hekmat Galmne, aged 27 and formerly of Village Way, Pinner, was previously found guilty of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, with the jury concluding he fired the shot.
