Switzerland - National Report on Concrete Structure - 2022 - The International Federation for Structural Concrete fib is the main international organization dealing with structural concrete.
According to its statutes, the main goals of fib are:
• the stimulation of research;
• the synthesis of findings from research and practice;
• the dissemination of the results through publications,
guidance documents and the organisation
of international congresses and symposia;
• the preparation of international recommendations;
• the information of members on the latest developments.
At the current time, fib comprises 41 national delegations from all 5 continents and has its permanent secretariat at the EPFL in Lausanne (www.fib-international.org).
Ten commissions and a large number of working groups treat specialized topics of concrete construction.
