DURHAM FA SPORTS GLASSES FUND APPLICATION GUIDELINES Durham FA are pleased to announce a new support fund for every individual who requires Safety Eyewear when playing football. Within the Laws of the Game, match officials can prevent players wearing glasses when playing if the participants’ glasses are deemed unsafe therefore, we believe the introduction of this fund will reduce barriers to participating in the game in Durham. To apply the individual will have to make sure they are aware of the following guidelines: Each individual is eligible for one funding claim every three football seasons, this may be used for either a new pair of glasses or an updated prescription Grant awarded up to £50. Applications must be received from players who are part of an affiliated Durham Football Club who have contributed to the Durham FA Benevolent Fund. If the player is under the age of 18 the parent/carer must submit an application on their behalf.
