Radio. Mark is also appearing on a radio show which is being especially recorded for a San Francisco station here in London. Mark finds this amusing as he is scheduled to be in San Francisco as part of his North American tour, but the radio production team were adamant they record the show here in London. The shows presenter has called in sick after losing her voice (it was her birthday at the weekend) and someone called Laura is standing in. The part of the show Mark is appearing on is called Theatre Jukebox. The idea is that the guest on the show will play their favourite theatre song and give a reason why. It shouldn't come as a surprise that such segments may perhaps be a little less free form than they pretend to be. Though Mark has picked three popular musical tunes to play alongside a recording from the show, he knows this will not be likely to be requested, and there is next to no chance of him suddenly launching into something that has not been rehearsed at all.
