The next morning and after a good night’s sleep I found myself in a completely change of heart. I felt invigorated, happy and fulfilled. Brighton was cold that morning but a fresh coldness that I enjoyed so much. The sun was dazzling over the sea and onto the beach. If I had time I would walk the promenade. Maybe. If I had the time. In the meantime, and with a slight step with my hotel map in a gloved hand I made my way back to the railway station. I noticed yesterday that it took no time at all in the taxi and a walk this time would be good exercise in thinking through what I wanted to happen. Once at the station I found a small information booth. It was here that I inquired for trains to a nearby place, Shoreham-By-Sea, for it was here, as I had discovered in a recent article, where Lawrence’s family lived.
