She was a novelist, editor, travel writer and a biographer, some of the books she wrote are the following: Frankenstein, the modern prometheus, valperga, The last man, Lodore, falkner, and the fortunes of perkin warbeck. The book Frankenstein was written in a summer that Mary was trapped indoors with her husband and a friend, they made a contest about writing ghosts stories, in the end Mary won the contest writting Frankenstein.
