What happens when our greatest refuge becomes our greatest prison? At the age of eleven or twelve, Vektra believed she had found in Professor Rivera not only a mentor, but also a protector and a “great friend.” Between his encouragement to use the computer and their shared lunches in the cafeteria, a bond of trust that seemed unbreakable had formed. However, over the course of three years, the line between benevolence and control began to blur.
