We started CAPELiN Crew in 2014, born from the snowboard culture of the Yin Mountains and Yan Mountains in Northern China, just 300 kilometres from Zhangjiakou where the 2022 Winter Olympics were held. Real winters and real terrain shaped how we think about gear from the very beginning. We build performance outerwear for snowboarding, skiing, and outdoor adventure, but we have never been interested in making things that blend into the background. Bold colorways, sharp silhouettes, and technical construction that actually holds up on the mountain are what we care about. Style and performance are not a tradeoff for us and we hold both to the same standard. We also take how things are made seriously. Our manufacturing is BSCI certified and we use PFAS-free treatments and recycled fabric yarns because the mountains we love are worth protecting.
