"Water, bread, bric-a-brac.
For a long time, I have been wondering how our clumsiness and folly leave an imprint on our identity, our (non-)personal objects, and the stages of our existence. I am particularly interested in how our sins intertwine, weaving through the still lifes of everyday life, and whether there is a purgatory that can liberate us from them, or if they stick to us permanently, like tiny foxtails on a child's socks.
What might be hiding in floordrobes, in the dents of empty blister packs, on the jagged edges of broken mugs, or at the tips of dried out pens?
These and similar thoughts have inspired this project."
In the works of this exhibition the qualities of acrylic painting merged with the distinctive tools of collage technique.
