Legacies have long played an important
role in Westminster’s history and continue
to shape the School today. Gifts in wills
have supported its growth for generations.
From Denny Brock, whose bequest of his
Highlands home created a base for
School expeditions, to John Hayward’s
generous legacy supporting bursaries, to
A. A. Milne’s gift of a share of his literary
rights which enabled the acquisition of
new buildings, these acts of generosity
have enabled Westminster to flourish.
Just as past generations have shaped the
Westminster we know today, today’s gifts
will shape the experiences of pupils for
generations to come.
