Same-Day Standby: You can request to be placed on standby for an earlier flight on the same day. This service is complimentary and does not incur any additional fees1. You'll remain on your original flight until a seat becomes available on an earlier flight.
Same-Day Confirmed: If you have a Main Cabin, Delta Comfort+, First Class, Delta Premium Select, or Delta One ticket, you can switch to a confirmed seat on a new flight within 24 hours of your original departure time. This option may have a fee starting at $75, depending on your ticket type1. Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion Members, as well as refundable ticket holders, are exempt from this fee.
