RAG. Three letters that, depending on which university a student picks, can quietly decide how smooth or how brutal their visa journey turns out to be. For years, the advice given to Nepali students applying to the UK was fairly consistent. Pick a university with a strong reputation, meet the academic and English language requirements, put together solid financial documentation, and the visa process would largely take care of itself. That advice isn't wrong exactly, but it's incomplete now, and a lot of students are finding that out the hard way.
