MESSAGE FROM MATT HOEY, FIRST SELECTMAN Guilford voters will go to the polls on April 8th to vote on the budget for 2025-2026. The polls will be open at all regular voting locations from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm. The Board of Finance STAFF has recommended a budget of $122,554,319. The most recent grand list shows a negative .3178 drop in our combined Grand List. The motor vehicle grand list value dropped 7.22% as a result of a legislative change to vehicle assessments. Pamela Gery Director The Town’s budget Operating, Capitol and Debt Service budget increase is 2.91% and is Terry Buckley driven primarily by a significant increase in Employee Healthcare costs which are increasing by Seniors Supervisor nearly 18%. Even with the use of reserve funds this increase represents nearly 40% of the total increase in the Town’s Budget.
