Events Magazines was established in 1996 by Essex Printing with the publication of Essex Events. It was a simple town newsletter that was mailed to every household in the town of Essex. Over the last 20+ years Events has expanded to reach three-quarters of a million residents along the Connecticut River Valley and Shoreline. The magazines are published quarterly in the towns of Chester, Clinton, East Haddam, East Lyme, Essex, Guilford, Haddam, Ledyard, Madison, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook. They contain substantial and relevant information from the town halls and local service groups regarding upcoming town events and important information from town departments and non-profit organizations. There are no subscriptions, no reporters, no letters to the editor and no editorials. The magazines are mailed to every household in the respective towns. They have become a must-read for resident and visitor alike.
