Before you is a special issue of the magazine on two mile- stone events contributing greatly to Russia’s relations with the Islamic world: the 20th anniversary of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia — Islamic World” and the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum.”
These two platforms form the “backbone” of Russia’s dialogue with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Over two decades, the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia — Islamic World,” established on the initiative of Russia’s President Putin, has brought together prominent politicians, diplomats, theologians and experts from Russia and 25 foreign countries, thus proving its worth. KazanForum, which was bestowed federal status in 2023, became a true ecosystem of cooperation, bringing together more than 20,000 participants from 96 countries in 2025.
