In the context of Librarianship, digital literacy is crucial for managing institutional repositories, which house scholarly output like research articles and theses. Librarians are expected to possess technical skills for repository management, including metadata creation and digital preservation. In the ever-changing digital landscape, Librarians must bridge the digital gap to optimize institutional repositories in Nigerian federal universities, especially in the South-South region. Existing literature stresses the importance of Librarians acquiring and updating digital skills. However, there is a lack of insight into how Librarians apply digital literacy to manage repositories effectively. A critical evaluation of Librarians' digital literacy levels in these universities is necessary, covering information and technological competencies. This study attempts to address this gap.
