The products of engineering are everywhere, especially at PHS. By questioning the systems around us, our students discover surprising insights that drive change. In this way, the spirit of engineering is wholly in line with that of high school; high school is a time of self-exploration, driven by curiosity and inquiry—the basis of all innovation. It is this curiosity that allows Cactus to successfully continue. As we approach the third anniversary of the Cactus and begin to think about our long-term goals, we see a new chapter ahead and cannot wait to explore the vast field of possibilities that ignite our curiosities. We hope that this issue can remind us of our efforts and accomplishments that brought us to where we are today through an appreciation of past innovation. And now, we welcome our readers to the second issue of the 2025-2026 cycle, Engineering: Making the World Go Round.
