PRESS RELEASE CAILABS AND RBC SIGNALS TO EXPLORE GLOBAL ACCESS TO OPTICAL GROUND STATION SERVICES • Cailabs and RBC Signals have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the International Space Summit in Paris to explore how satellite operators could access optical downlink capacity through a global managed service. • The companies will assess where Cailabs optical ground stations could be installed across RBC Signals’ existing and planned network of sites. • Cailabs and RBC Signals will explore how RBC Signals’ mission-management capabilities and experience operating multi-user ground infrastructure could support Cailabs’ planned Optical Ground Station-as-a-Service network. • The companies will also examine a commercial partnership through which RBC Signals could offer Cailabs optical capacity as part of its services to its customers.
