This exhibition aims to take the public on a cutting-edge journey through emerging topics in Marine Biotechnology, such as Synthetic Biology, Biocatalysis, Bioprocesses and Bioinformatics. What are these topics and what do they hold? Are these areas of development part of the future of Marine Biotechnology?
These and other questions will be resolved throughout this exhibition, where we will explain how unexplored organisms in the marine environment can hide compounds with unique chemistry that could fill gaps in society in broad areas such as health, energy or the environment.
The aim of this exhibition is to increase public literacy in emerging areas of biotechnology and their role in developing sustainable solutions to societal challenges.
