European diplomacy, dream or utopia? "Nothing is possible without people, nothing is sustainable without institutions" said Jean Monnet, one of the founding fathers of Europe. And for good reason: without structural power, no policy can be effectively implemented over the long term. Would Jean Monnet, the precursor, have dared to imagine in his wildest dreams the role and place that Europe would have to play today? It may seem paradoxical, even unimaginable, to imagine a diplomacy on a European scale, so much so that our continent has been scarred by wars and conflicts over the centuries. And yet, this is the subject to be dealt with and it seems to us that it is more meaningful than ever.
