1789 The French Revolution has started, the Ancient Regime in France has been finally put to an end. An event happened not too long ago, it was a constituent and Legislative Assembly. This assembly was formed by the representatives of the Third Estate. 1791 Girondists, members of a political faction. They’re starting to get active in the Legislative Assembly and National Convention together with another faction called “Montagnards”. 1793 The Girondists were campaigning for the end of the monarchy but it resisted the spiraling momentum of the Revolution which caused a conflict with the radical Montagnards. The Montagnards dominated back on 31 May of 1793 the Girondins which resulted in the purge and mass execution of Girondins. The event started the “Reign of Terror”. 5 September, 1793 The Reign of Terror has started by the most influential political club during the French Revolution. (Jacobin Convention).
