Europeana Learning Scenario Title Number 13 Author(s) Natalija Budinski Abstract Students learn about prime numbers. The lesson is a part of our mathematics curriculum. A prime number (or a prime) is a natural number greater than 1 that cannot be formed by multiplying two smaller natural numbers. But to make the story more interesting for the students, we explore one specific number. It is number 13. It is a prime number, which has interesting stories behind it. Students use Europeana resources to research these stories. This learning scenario aims at raising students’ motivation for learning mathematics.
