Five loaves of bread By Ion Creangă Two fellows have been wandering once during the summer, on a road. One of them had in his bag three loaves of bread, whereas the other one had only two. In o while, being hungry and tired, they decided to stop under an osier willow’s shade, nearby a well, and both got the bread out of their bag in order to eat. In the meantime, an unfamiliar wayfarer came across and stopped to greet them. He asked to be given anything to eat as he was starving and didn’t have anything handy, nor food neither an accessible fair. "Here, take this" said the fellows to the stranger. "For God's sake, where two people eat, there is still enough to feed a third one." The foreign traveler, without waiting too much, sat down next to his companions and enjoyed his bread while drinking from the well's pure and cold water.
