ANALYSIS OF POULTRY INDUSTRY IN GHANA 1.0 Introduction Egg consumption in the world have been on the increase over the years, The poultry business is profitable looking at the increase demand of its product, especially eggs and chicken. According to the poultry world ,the poultry industry increased and reached the global consumption peaked in 2019. It has been rising for the 3rd consecutive year. 1.1 Poultry Industry size Ghana poultry meat production was estimated to be 35,000tons in 2017 and the local poultry production account for less than 25%. Imports expected to increase by 14,000tons to 158,000 tons due to insufficient domestic supply and rising demand. This means there is a Gap to fill. 1.2 Growth Rate The poultry industry in Ghana has significantly grown over the years.
