Based on the official data of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the volume of freight and passenger traffic by air, and the level of profitability and determination of the dependence of transportation on the time factor according to the trend regression model are analyzed in the article. The article also reveals the factors influencing the profit from air travel. On the basis of statistical data, using the Eviews application package, a correlation equation was built between the indicators, a number of characteristics of using the equation for the purpose of forecasting were determined, and the forecasted cost of profit from air transportation until 2025 has been given.
