Baybayin GLOKAL 2020 is a Baybayin font style and concept designed by John NL Leyson to introduce the Philippine local (indigenous) script to the global community - a globalized local - making the script relevant and more useful to today’s world. With this in mind, new and expanded characters or glyphs are introduced. These are vowels I and U, and consonants Fa, Ja, Lla, Ña, Qa (Kwa and Kya), Ra (modern and Sambal), Xa, Va and Za. The diacritical marks are also expanded so vowels i and u are distinguished from vowels e and o.
