The article deals with the analysis of the outstanding Azerbaijani satirist, publicist, democrat – enlightener, master of the realistic prose Jalil Mamedguluzadeh’s prose. The ideological – artistic directions and features of his prose are analyzed on the basis of the concrete facts and examples in the context of Azerbaijanism. The founder of critical realism, realistic school of satire and humor in Azerbaijan J.Mammadguluzadeh led the struggle for the nation’s freedom, progress, development of the native language. All these facts are reflected in the artistic form in his prose.
