According to the opinion of many contemporaries entering the gardens of paradise is as easy as entering a garden in your neighbourhood. It is even much easier to enter the heavenly gardens than to enter worldly gardens, because the only thing you have to do, according to this people, is to claim that you are a muslim. While entering a garden in this world, even if it is in your own backyard, requires some form of activity. Even without evidence from Qur'an and Sunnah it would be very obvious, that this can't be true, because paradise can't be achieved as easy as a piece of land and can't be as cheap. Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever is concerned should set out when it is still night and whoever sets out when it is still night will reach the destination.
