In the 2025 summer issue of CZECH FILM magazine, we focus on films screened at the Festival de Cannes and the Annecy IAFF. The newest piece in the ongoing series of articles introducing young filmmakers focuses on Cristina Groșan and Damián Vondrášek. We offer a sneak peek into the production of Night Tram, a new animated feature by Michaela Pavlátová. We zoom in on the Czech Audiovisual Fund’s partnership with the Producers Network at the Marché du Film. In an interview with sound designer Martin Ženíšek, we discuss his work on Caravan by Zuzana Kirchnerová. Lastly, we introduce the production company Mimesis Film.
