In the 2025 fall issue of CZECH FILM magazine, we focus on films screened at the Venice, Toronto and San Sebastian film festivals – Franz, Ungrateful Beings, Father, and Made in EU. The newest piece in the ongoing series of articles introducing young filmmakers focuses on Barbora Chalupová and Greta Stocklassa. We offer a sneak peek into the production of Cowgirl, a new feature by Michal Blaško. We zoom in on the 2025 edition of the Czech Film Springboard. In an interview with screenwriter and writer Sára Zeithammerová, we discuss her work on two adaptations of two Czech bestsellers: Hana by Alena Mornštajnová and The Last Goddess by Kateřina Tučková.
