This month we have a story that features a person a lot of baseball people know in the community. Jeff Helmbrecht has been a staple of the Western New York baseball community for year. Where ever he has gone, Helmbrecht has produced winners.
He is the type of coach that cares about the kids first. Whether is was at Maritime Charter School, West Seneca West or WNY Prospects, Helmbrecht has always put development in front of winning. It just so happens that winning has come along with it.
It has been awhile but we delve into the world of boys’ lacrosse with a couple stories on players from St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute who are continuing their playing days at the next level in college.
