Press Release October 24th 2019 THE SCANDAL BEHIND XL AIRWAYS FRANCE BANKRUPTCY XL Airways France was placed under judicial receivership on September23rd and then liquidated on October 4th by the commercial court of Bobigny, France. In 12 days, the life of 570 employees has collapsed and 60000 passengers, often modest, have lost their plane ticket. A scandal is hiding behind that tragedy ! An abandoned airline ! The XL Airways France employee representatives have good reasons to believe that this bankruptcy is the result of their company abandon by its shareholders, particularly after the failure of an exclusive negotiation with a major European airline. Yet the shareholders had approved and validated a 5 year business plan which was highlighting the need of a cash injection into XL Airways France in 2019. This abandon is even more unacceptable that Dreamjet Participations SA, one of the parent company, has very profitable and strong shareholders like Motier holding and SPGD holding. M
