DIY Copper Lampshade https://www.fisherlight.com/ As the rich color of copper, copper lamp shades are widely used because it can add warmth. The copper flash is flexible and easy to bend around the frame of the lampshade. Try using 8- to 18-inch roof flashing to simply make a simple copper lampshade. Measure the largest ring of the lampshade frame, and add 1 inch to this measurement. Cut a strip of flashing to the determined measurement. Scratch a straight line of the flashing surface with an awl. Cut the flashing on the line. Wrap the copper around the frame. Each 2" is fixed in place with a clothespin. Fix the top and bottom rings in the same way. Mark the overlap to cut off on lamp shade frames with different measurements for the top and bottom rings. Leave 1 inch of overlap on the seam. Place markers on the top and bottom edges of the copper flashing. Remove the flashing from the shade frame. Align the edges of the ruler with each mark. Use an awl to scratch the edge of the ruler.
