BIO ESSAY WITH HORMONES Simultaneously, we put 5 neonates of daphnias with ephippia and 5 neonates of daphnias without ephippia in two 200 ml beakers with 1.5 mg of estradiol in each one. We also wanted to observe if there were changes due to the influence of hormones. We observed that after 48h under the effects of estradiol they presented deformations in the body and had noticeably swollen. We decided not to continue doing trials with hormones and focus on selected drugs, postponing a detailed study on the effects of hormones and other endocrine disruptors in these bodies for a later time.
