BEGINNING OF EXERIMENTATION WITH NEONATES For two weeks we kept three cultures with daphnias without ephippia and three others with daphnias with Ephippia (coming from a culture in worst conditions, more dirt, less oxygenation and little food) in order to check if under the same conditions (the same diet, photoperiod of 12:12) had a similar percentage of survival, that is to say, if some were more resistant than others. After these two weeks we noted that more parthenogenetic daphnias survived. The 500 ml beakers under the led light served as incubators for neonates.
