Happier song analysis. The opening of this music video is unlike many starting with a crying young girl. This will make the audience her as vulnerable linking to weakness and the fact that she may be being bullied/isolated/solitude. This contradicts the fact that we can see balloons and paper chains in the background representing the fact that she is at a party. Furthermore these decoration are all yellow which has a normal association with warmth from the sun and happiness (links to the song title, Happier). This first camera angle helps to show what her emotions are as it is eye level to the girl maybe representing understanding. Also the fact that the camera is this close helps to show the emotion on her face… The next important cut scene in this video comes only 0:04 seconds into the song.
