ГУ «Жолымбетская средняя школа № 1» Иванова Ирина Кронидовна, учитель английского языка. Jig saw activities in teaching Grammar Grammar is the most difficult aspect of the language. The teachers are faced with the problem is that students can learn all of the rules and not be able to put them into practice when they use the language. Besides, learning all grammar rules is very boring and more often useless and as a result, students lose their interest to learn English grammar. There is no method which can be regarded as the best and more relevant that the others. From my teaching experience I have noticed how enthusiastic students are about discovering grammar rules. Explaining a rule doesn’t necessarily lead to full understanding of the grammar rules. It is preferable to let students get the rules by themselves. A grammar- discovery approach involves learners in thinking and analyzing a particular grammatical rule and let them apply their knowledge in practice. In effect, students are
