The largest educational center in the Republic with high-quality knowledge of oriental languages is the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Ali Farabi University. The study of Oriental languages (especially Arabic) at Ali Ferrabi University originated in the 1970s. The School of Oriental Studies was founded in 1989 on the basis of the Department of History of Asian and African Countries and the Department of Arabic Languages. In this way, the School has been studying language traditions and the history of Eastern countries for nearly 40 years, and 2014 is the 25th anniversary of its establishment.
