Thoughts like, why do I despise raw tomatoes while my friend can’t have enough of them? Why do most people enjoy sweet over bitter? Why do we crave certain foods for dinner one night, then the next night we want something completely different? These series of questions lead me to the guiding question of my research topic. How are food preferences developed and why are they different between individuals? After researching multiple sources, I feel I’ve finally come to a logical conclusion on how we form our own preferences and perceptions towards various types of food.
