I get up at 5: 00am every day! We use present simple to express a daily routine activity and general facts. When we want to express an idea in present simple we should identify the third person that is: SHE, HE, IT. For this third person we should add to the verb “s”. But if the verb ends in CH, SH, O, S, X, Z we add “es” to the verb. Finally, if the verb ends in “y” preceded by a consonant, we delete “y” and we add “ies” to the verb. Example: She runs in a car competition every Monday Kevin catches the ball in a baseball match. My sister studies English in an institute. On the other hand, we form the negative for the third person: She doesn’t run in a car competition. In this sentence you can see that the “s” is eliminated. Finally, if you want to make an affirmative sentence with I, YOU, WE or THEY, you simply write the verb in the original form like this: You speak English- you don’t speak english. Don’t forget the interrogative form: DOES she run in a car competition? -Yes, she doe
