Granted many of the higher search volume searches are just that, the first thing that would come to mind. These are also generally the most competitive and harder to rank for immediately. There are many tools I use for keyword research, but my usual starting point is simply Google. Not Google’s keyword planner, just by Googling the most obvious search and then observing the autosuggest terms, as well as by scrolling down to the bottom for the related searches area.
