While social media can be an important way to share information about protecting oneself from COVID-19, many social media campaigns create barriers for those who are blind, deaf, or have other disabilities. Elham Youssefian is a human rights lawyer who joined International Disability Alliance (IDA) in November 2019 as Inclusive Humanitarian Action and Disaster Risk Reduction Advisor. The IDA is a group of 14 disability rights organisations that advocates for rights for people with disabilities around the globe.
