VII-B. –Qualitative Research: In-Depth Interview For our main interview we decided to talk to Mario Garza, who oversees all waste management matters on Texas State’s campus. Mario has eight full timers on staff and during the school year has from 10-15 students that work part time. When it comes to recyclable products there are many different resources, such as mixed paper, old corrugated cardboard, scrap metal and large network toner cartridges. Every morning the men and women on staff are sent out on their own routes to pick up all recycling and to clean out all recycle bins. Processing the recycled products has become very simple over the years become you don’t have to separate the sources anymore. All of the products can now go into a single stream and be processed all at once. Sometimes while on their routes, Mario will get an emergency call to clean out a bin that has filled up to full capacity before its clean-out date. There are about 10-15 of these calls daily.
