The Three Shires Golfing Society Anniversary Meeting Mag - 2026 Our 38th Anniversary meeting winner, Matthew, ready for the off with his medley of Caddies, scorers and ball finders. Mind you after two holes, 16 shots and just one point on the board, survival was probably the main thought of the day. Then, it all kicked in, and with 21 points on the back nine, Matt squeezed a well deserved win with 36 points, much to the chagrin of three on 35. I have been going through all the 38 anniversary meetings and whilst I have only just started, looking back to the early 90’s, well we played Bramshaw for three years in a row, 36 holes, alternating The summer four- somes and Stableford twixt both courses, but of course, in those days we could. It was also when the Manor course was one of the top courses in the area. And then after that, we played 36 holes at Broadstone in very hot weather. However, may there be many more anniversaries, with more Zimmer frames coming to the Fore no doubt! Hopeful
