Using LEGO / DUPLO building blocks, children create their very own imaginary animal, with “ suer powers”, or special abilities. Each building brick color stands for a special ability or po- wer, added to their animal as they include then in the cons- truction of their aninal. After completing their creation, children will share their animals with the class, discussing their abilities. 1. Before providing building blocks, discuss with the children the aim of this game. Say they will be building , individually or in pairs, an animal of their creation using legos. 2. Their animals can have special powers, depending on the co- lor of the briks they use. Have a block of each color to use as an example, and review colors. 3. Explain that RED gives the animal SPEED (show the block, and mimic the power), GREEN gives the animal STRENGTH, and YELLOW, ability to fly. 4.
