St Modwen, which develops commercial and res- idential projects across the UK, has agreed to take over the supermarket's portfolio of stores. It not only means that traders will have a new landlord, but also offers fresh hope that it can spark a revival for the Village in wake of shops closing down and a general decline in business. The deal has been met with open arms by local shoppers and some were quick to welcome the news on social media.
